About Our Conceptual Data Centre Design Services

Whatever the size or type of data centre project, it is likely that the first stage will involve the creation of conceptual data centre design specification documents. This process involves the creation of high level specifications for the purposes of inclusion in a business plan, feasibility report or strategy document clients also use the conceptual design process to progress a project through to tender stage.

Why Choose Future-tech?

Our multi award winning in-house design team have enviable expertise in conceptual data centre design services. Most importantly, we understand that although ‘conceptual’ in nature, this design process needs to be undertaken with the client’s needs and requirements in mind – no two data centre projects are the same and no two data centre design solutions should be either.

Known for our innovative approach to our client’s unique challenges and specifications, our team are adept at creating bespoke conceptual designs that suit the age, size and type of facility and exactly match the client needs. We also believe vendor neutrality is crucial – our neutrality means that we are free to determine the best solution for your individual requirements without the constraints of companies linked to a particular manufacturer.

All Future-tech conceptual data centre design projects begin with in-depth stakeholder meetings to establish the client drivers, requirements and constraints. Clients are assigned a data centre design team, consisting of Mechanical and Electrical data centre design engineers and other relevant design specialists. Our conceptual data centre design service takes a project through RIBA Work Stages 3 and 4.

The final High Level data centre design document will include a performance specification together with plan drawings and 3D conceptual renders of internal and external areas.

The drawings will include data halls as well as other essential areas such as plant rooms, network operation centre, plant compounds and office space. It will also include electrical and mechanical schematics illustrating the data centre’s infrastructure topography, resilience and redundancy and any alternative solutions will be outlined an presented with analysis as to suitability, advantages and disadvantages,

The detailed conceptual data centre design document can be used as part of a detailed business plan, feasibility report or strategy document. It can also be used to progress your project through to tender stage by forming part of your Invitation to tender document (ITT).
