Future-tech has recently secured contracts for two new data centres in Scotland. Both will use the latest in UPS and cooling technologies to deliver excellent energy efficiency with class-leading PUE figures.

The first project, for a global bio-technology company, is already underway and incorporates APC In-Row cooling served by a chilled water system with free cooling. The second, for the University of St Andrews, is in the detailed design phase with construction due to start in March. This utilises water cooled DX systems again with free cooling.

The combined value of the two contracts is £1.6 million.
