We’re proud to announce the acquisition of Future-tech by global AI hyperscaler, Nscale, as it continues to scale the delivery of AI-ready infrastructure across Europe and North America.

With Future-tech’s specialist knowledge of technical data centre design, build and management services and proven history of delivering secure, resilient, and high-performance infrastructure for complex environments, this integration will help Nscale move even faster on global execution.

The integration will commence over the coming months and Future-tech will be bringing an exceptional team of around 60 people into Nscale, including designers, engineers, consultants, project managers, technical specialists and operators. Teams will be aligned across design, delivery, and operations, while continuing to support existing clients without disruption.

James Wilman, CEO of Future-tech said, “Joining Nscale is a natural next step for Future-tech. We see firsthand how fast AI is changing the requirements for data centres, and Nscale is one of the companies truly out in front of that wave. It’s an exciting time to be part of a business making major moves in AI infrastructure globally. By combining our specialist engineering and delivery capability with Nscale’s scale and ambition, we can do even more for our shared customers in the years ahead.”

Who are Nscale?

Nscale is a global hyperscaler engineered for sovereign-grade AI infrastructure, delivering compute to the generative AI market at scale. Through its fully vertically integrated suite of AI solutions and GW+ greenfield data centres across Europe and North America, Nscale enables customers to run efficient and scalable AI training, fine-tuning, and inferencing workloads.

The acquisition follows a series of major milestones for Nscale this year. The company has expanded its leadership team with the addition of Nidhi Chappell as President of AI Infrastructure, announced its European expansion in Iceland with Verne, and deepened its relationship with Microsoft through a plan to deploy approximately 200,000 NVIDIA GB300 GPUs across Europe. Nscale also closed a $1.1 billion Series B funding round, the largest in European history.

“Future-tech has spent decades designing and building data centres, solving real engineering challenges for customers,” said Josh Payne, CEO of Nscale. “Their team has impressed me with their ability to deliver quality work, quickly, and at scale. By bringing that expertise into Nscale, we’re able to move more quickly on behalf of our customers around the world.”
