Project Summary:           IX Africa approached Future-tech to develop a Metro Edge type data centre to leading international standards and quality suitable for global Hyperscale customers.

Project Scope:           Future-tech acted as Lead Consultant and provided the management of an in country professional services team. This included Architectural, Structural and Civils for Phase 1 of the construction (4.5 MW). Future-tech also provided technical procurement for the MEP infrastructure including long lead items and evaluation of technical submissions from potential vendors.

Innovation: Use of indirect air cooling in sub-Saharan Africa (Design PUE sub 1.3). Capable of accepting and installing pre-populated 55U racks including weight and height accommodation. The design offers Cloud ready Hyperscale power densities unique to the Kenyan market.

Sustainability: Sub 1.3 design PUE in sub-Saharan Africa.
