What our clients say

We have used Future Tech for around 10 years now, covering retro-fit builds, maintenance, break-fix support, and site auditing. Richard Stacey has always been our primary contact; very responsive and great with detail which is a must for us. The technical teams have always followed the same suit, knowledgeable and quick to respond. Their senior technical staff are never shy at joining calls or meetings on-site to run through works when needed.

Maintenance activities are notified and actioned; the admin side of their team are very well organised – in fact they chase us more than the other way round. Engineers turn up on me, carry out the work well and don’t leave a mess. For at least the last 5 years, we have not taken on a new site without utilising Future Tech as an external, independent view. The audits and reporting they have carried out for us have been invaluable.

Many relationships with suppliers are done on a contract, what I would say is the relationship with Future-tech is done on the spirit of the agreement.

FAQ

Why is ongoing maintenance so important?

To keep equipment in a ‘like new’ condition in order to maximise reliability and optimal performance.

My site has never gone down – Why should I maintain it?

If you don’t it will! Our cars are typically very reliable but we still get them serviced regularly and understand the consequences of not doing so. Data Centres are no different.

My outsourced FM provider does all that for me – Why should I check it?

Because even the best FM provider needs eyes looking over their shoulder. Generally speaking humans tends to be diligent on the things you inspect rather than always doing the things you expect!

My FM provider is good at general office maintenance and is cheaper than a specialist – why should I change?

Generic FM providers simply do not have the engineering skills or approach required to look after mission critical infrastructure which is designed to protect against 30 millisecond power interruptions. Would you let a GP do your heart surgery?

Why should I have an expensive Thermographic scan every year?

Because it will pick up faults that cannot be detected in other ways and potentially prevent a catastrophic failure.

The manufacturer said my infrastructure has a reliable life of 15 years – Why should I maintain it before then?

Depending on use your new car probably has a 10 year reliable operating life but there is a reason for annual MOT checks every year after a certain age. Equipment does deteriorate with use and will become less reliable if not properly maintained.
