Why do I need Data Centre Emergency Response?

Site specific knowledge and experience available at short notice can be the difference between a fault or incident becoming a service impacting failure. In order to respond rapidly to faults or incidents clients’ installations can be monitored remotely with varying levels of complexity to suit business needs, from basic critical alarm with “push” notification to text or email, to a full BMS system showing real-time performance of power and cooling systems together with web-cam monitoring of the data centre and plant areas.

Methodology

In the event of a fault or incident the decision to attend site will be made by our Data Centre Service Engineer depending on the type of alert in question and its potential impact on services. Unique protocols are established for each client dependant on their particular requirements and site criticality.

For highly critical data centre sites Future-tech can provide data centre technicians based on-site for 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. This allows continual systems monitoring to keep the plant operating at peak performance and provides the ability to deal with any potential issues instantly as they arise in order to significantly reduce the risk of loss of service.

For sites outside of the UK we use a network of vetted and approved contractors to attend site within 4 hours. All telephone support and client liaison is still provided by our own in-house UK based teams.

Why choose Future-tech?

Our in-house engineers will respond to a fault alert in a manner that best supports the needs of an organisation and its internal resources. For some organisations this means providing instant telephone support and a detailed knowledge of the data centre site in question. This allows our engineers to assist and advise the onsite team, resolving the issue without requiring attendance. For others, who do not have their own internal resources, our engineers will be on site within 4 hours.
