Data Centre Risk Radar: Implications of the summer budget, changes to carbon tax and climate change policy in the UK

The fourth briefing, sponsored by Future-tech, will discuss alterations to carbon tax and climate change in the UK and how this will affect data centre operators. This will bring individuals up to date with recent energy and climate change developments, both UK and EU level to explore their effects in the industry. A recognised policy expert, Richard Folland of Inline, will be leading this discussion which will be shortly followed by a Q&A session to identify priorities and agree on the next direction for the consultation later in the year.

Event Description

Date: 15th September 2015

Location: techUK, 10 St Bride Street, London, EC4A 4AD and afterwards at the Punch Tavern, 99 Fleet Street (1 minute walk)

Content: A number of policies have seen changes both at UK and EU level, some of which may impact the data centre sector. The climate change and environment policy landscape is looking fairly unpredictable and these changes could be happening a lot quicker than originally expected.
