Data Centre Risk Radar: Energy Price Volatility Briefing

Future-tech is sponsoring a series of briefing sessions on behalf of the TechUK Data Centre programme. These briefings provide a chance to discuss, and hear from industry experts, with regard to emerging risks that face the Data Centre Sector.

The first session is based on Energy price volatility. The briefing will begin with Dylan Crompton, from British Gas, and energy analyst, Gavin McCormick, discussing how to help mitigate the business risks posed by future energy cost variations. This will be shortly followed by a Q&A session led by the panellists. Once the briefing has finished there will be food and drinks available at the punch tavern for a chance to network.

Event Description

Date: 3rd February 2015

Location: techUK, 10 St Bride Street, London, EC4A 4AD and afterwards at the Punch Tavern, 99 Fleet Street (1 minute walk)

Content: The growth and demand of data has increased the volume of network traffic. With the expansion of these networks and the supporting infrastructure they need further pressure is put on energy consumption and wholesale costs.
