The University of Westminster Award their High Density Data Centre to Future-Tech

As part of the refurbishment works being carried out at the University of Westminster’s Copland Building, Future-Tech has been awarded the fast track design and build contract for the new high density data centre.
 

Jason Bown, Contracts Manager for Future-Tech said, “Turning around fast track projects comes with its’ own set of unique challenges. All the elements of the design and specification need to be agreed upon and effectively set in stone before the project starts, this ensures everything runs to the programme of works and completes on time.”

From initial contact to practical completion the duration of works is programmed to take approximately nine weeks. The facility has been designed to handle an I.T. load of approximately 14kW per cabinet and utilises hot aisle containment to deliver the highest efficiency from the cooling system.
