Security

One of the risks to your data centre which must not be overlooked is the human element. Be it accidental or intentional, disruption of IT services as a result of “operator error” is a reality. Of course everyone who ‘should’ be in your data centre will be properly vetted, trained and/or accompanied but how do you ensure that only those who ‘should’ enter are able to?

We are expert in all aspects of data centre security including access control, CCTV, physical barriers and intruder alarms.

Access control can be as simple as mechanical digital locks through to sophisticated proximity card systems with biometric identification. Systems can be stand alone, building wide or even global, monitoring and protecting an organisation’s assets throughout the world.

CCTV can compliment door access in providing security, plus it can monitor activity and the environment within the data centre. Cameras can cover just the entrances or the whole room and web-cams mounted in strategic locations can be used to monitor the room or scheduled activities in the room when working remotely.

Physical barriers to entry range from a basic door through steel faced security doors to floor-to-ceiling turn-stiles and “anti-tailgating” portals. For really sensitive facilities electro-magnetic screening may be a requirement.

Intruder alarms use a combination of door contacts and movement sensors and will most probably be integrated with the overall building system.

Whatever your security requirement, Future-Tech can provide you with the solution.

We can tailor security systems to suit your individual requirements. We are expert across the security spectrum for data centres, providing access system solutions that range from economical mechanical digital locks to retinal scans. For extra security, these can be accompanied by CCTV and intruder alarms with 24-hour monitoring.
